Formerly CEO of Sentiment Strategies, a quantitative hedge fund advisor launched in 2008, specializing in data intensive, multi factor quantitative strategies. Signals included a sentiment process he invented, analyzing up to 70,000 daily news articles in real time, to drive medium to high frequency statistical arbitrage trading. Contracted by large funds to trade allocations totaling $500 million, with clients including Tudor Investment Corp and Millennium Partners, Sentiment Strategies was acquired in 2012.
Previously, he was founder and CEO of NeoVision Hypersystems, a trading and risk management software development firm, acquired by SS&C Technologies. He invented Heatmaps, a real time data/database middleware, computation and visualization platform; and designed improvements to trading, portfolio management and risk systems for over 40 large buy and sell side clients and exchanges. NeoVision’s investors included Intel, Deutsche Bank, Bear Stearns and several venture capital firms. Prior to NeoVision, he founded two optimization related software firms that were ultimately acquired by Oracle, and an insurance company with over $15 billion in assets.
